Overview:

DuBois Book Store is a family-owned business that sells Miami University clothing and souvenirs. We're seeking an experienced, career-oriented retail store manager to help operate our store at 118 E. High St. in Oxford, OH. Candidates must be problem solvers and fast learners with excellent communication skills .

Responsibilities:

• The Store Co-Managers are jointly responsible for all facets of operating the Oxford location. Including opening/closing/changing shifts, task delegation, hiring and scheduling to ensure proper staffing of the store.
• Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver an outstanding customer experience
• Manage all phases of recruitment including identifying hiring needs, interviewing and on-boarding staff
• Ensure staff has working knowledge of all computer and technology systems and software (e.g. registers, ARC, inSite, etc.) Ensure response to all systems problems by contacting tech support
• Resolve customer complaints and help respond to customers' needs.
• Help manage social media platforms to maintain customer and fan engagement in the voice of the company.
• Order store supplies and equipment to maintain store operations and efficiency
• Ensure that store/grounds are clean and presentable; manage repair and maintenance; respond to emergencies
• Balance registers and determine next day cash needs.
• Review and correct any inventory issues
• Communicate effectively with customers, staff and management
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
• Merchandise the sales floor to determine product placement and optimal layout of the store
• Serve as communication channel to company owner. Respond to requests, provide feedback and implement initiatives
• Seek self-development by monitoring own performance, setting high personal standards, learning about the fields of retail and management, seeking best practices

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and 3 years retail management experience -or- High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of retail management experience.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including extended days, evenings, and weekend hours.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
