The impact you will have in this role: 

Being a member of our team, you’ll work to protect the safety and soundness of our systems and are responsible for identifying, managing, measuring and mitigating a spectrum of key risk types including credit, market, liquidity, systemic, operational and technology in all existing and new products, activities, processes and systems.

Your Responsibilities:

The Third Party Risk Senior Associate is responsible for effectively evaluating, assessing, and reporting on vendor risks. The Senior Associate is responsible for assistance with reviewing vendor risk assessments, 4th party risk management, developing tools, and implementing procedures to optimally handle vendor risk throughout the vendor lifecycle. The Senior Associate will also support management with 4th party governance and metrics reporting and monitoring of risk; including data collection and analysis, periodic ongoing monitoring and reporting.

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks that third parties bring to the organization by following documented procedures and job aids
  • Evaluate exposure and risks associated with fourth-party vendors to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards
  • Monitor and provide oversight with regulatory requirements, contractual agreements, and internal policies for fourth-parties
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate fourth-party risks (e.g. contingency plans, alternative vendors, and risk transfer)
  • Assist with the development and implementation of the Third Party Risk/Vendor Risk framework including content development and managing project tasks to ensure successful completion of deliverables.
  • Demonstrate and apply a detailed understanding of risk management, with specific focus on information security, data protection, resiliency, and other key operational risks.
  • Produce and maintain reporting and metrics for both internal and external partners.
  • Create and design effective presentations as a means for communicating project and deliverable progress to partners
  • Mitigate Third Party Risk by following established procedures and monitoring controls, and demonstrating strong ethical behavior
  • Coordinate with internal partners from three lines of defense, control functions and risk committees to communicate on the Third Party Risk process, vendor issues and potential risk mitigation

Additional Qualifications:

  • 5-6 years of Risk Management or Internal Audit experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred with Risk management, project management and process improvement experience
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Solid communication, negotiation, and relationship management skill
  • Knowledge of industry and regulatory guidance related to managing third party risk
