The impact you will have in this role:

The Compliance Initiative Project Manager will drive successful execution of projects owned by the Compliance Department that have been initiated to enhance compliance controls and reduce compliance risk across the organization. The Compliance Initiatives role specializes in the execution, coordination and monitoring of projects within the Compliance Department, such as new process and system initiatives, process re-engineering, establishment of control procedures, and other Compliance driven enterprise control improvement and risk mitigation efforts. You will have the satisfaction of enabling the Compliance team to plan effectively, prioritize, raise risks for early mitigation, manage customer expectations, and celebrate successes.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead, oversee and support various projects and department efforts, as assigned.
  • Aid, support, and challenge members of the Compliance team in their develop of project plans and other project management efforts, as requested.
  • Compilation and distribution of periodic status reporting for all Compliance owned projects, including accurate and visible communications to collaborators with concise metrics and updates on progress, risks, and impediments.
  • Be an enthusiastic change agent and peer. Drive continuous learning and process improvements.
  • Build meaningful relationships within Compliance and with other partners and facilitate the resolutions of most issues leveraging your rapport and trust with them.
  • Understand impediments that may impact the capacity of the department or individual members of the department.
  • Foster an environment of regulatory awareness and maintain awareness of regulatory requirements and ongoing changes and their potential impact to department initiatives.
  • Supports alignment of the function with the overall compliance strategy.
  • Mitigates risk by following established procedures and monitoring controls, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience

Talents Needed for Success:

  • Experience working in the Financial Services industry or Financial Technologies (FinTech) space and the related regulatory environment.
  • Experience with project management tools, such as HP PPM or MS Project, as well as experience with PowerPoint, Visio, Teams, SharePoint, Excel Pivot Tables or Power BI
  • Strong knowledge of compliance principles and standards, including industry best practices and compliance controls
  • Experience with an Agile project management tool (such as Jira) is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail

The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
