DTC Workforce Programs is Hiring a Machine Maintenance Mechanic; IMMEDIATE START, WEEKLY PAY! Near Dothan, AL

SHIFT AVAILABLE Mon.-Friday 6am - 3:30pm

POSITION OVERVIEW: Sets up, installs, repairs and maintaining machinery and equipment, and in fabricates metal parts and tools by performing the following duties. Performs skilled electronic/electrical, mechanical, construction and plumbing installation and repair.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment. Diagnoses malfunctions in machinery and equipment. Dismantles, assembles, and installs industrial machinery. Installs, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs critical electrical components. Modifies programming of computer equipment such as robot controllers and programmable controllers. Follows all company and regulatory agency safety regulations. Reads and interprets blueprints/specifications with respect to plant and equipment as required. Other duties may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associate of Arts and Sciences (AS) Degree in Industrial Electronics from an accredited college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as scientific calculations. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: None required.

COMPUTER SKILLS: Required knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word using MS Windows platform.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Less than 10% required.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Attendance is an essential job requirement defined as having regular, consistent, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance including the ability to work regular hours and shifts, overtime before and after shifts and on weekends. Must be available in times of plant related emergencies. Ability to work as part of a team, including all related departments/plants or independently as required to achieve internal and external customer satisfaction.

The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. Safety glasses are required.
