DSP Connections is Hiring a Behavior Professional Near Salem, OR

JOB TITLE: Behavior Professional 

REPORTS TO: Director of Care Team 

Supports: To ensure behavior risks are addressed in support documents for each client.

Salary: $65,000

NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB: 

The behavior professional will review each client ISP/RIT and compare it to the outlined support document (Positive behavior support plan, Safety plan and/or protocol). They will ensure the document aligns with our Oregon administrative rules (OARs). If the document does not align with the OAR’s, they will work with the behavior consultant and the Service coordinator/Personal agent to obtain the necessary updates. They will assist the Case coordinators in developing written support for any behavior risks not addressed by a qualified behavior professional.

RESPONSILBILITIES:

  • Keep up with OAR changes for behavior supports
  • Review client ISP, RIT and any other incoming behavior support documents.
  • Developing protocols and other safety plans to address identified behavior risks.
  • Review all safety plans with written behavior support.
  • Assist in training Identified DSPs as needed.
  • Attending ISP meetings as necessary
  • Maintain Oregon Intervention system (OIS) training certification.
  • Train DSP’s in OIS as needed.
  • Maintain Qualified behavior professional certification

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on industry experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of Writing Behavior support.
  • Pass Federal Background check. 
  • Calm and patient demeaner
  • Demonstrated ability to coach others. 
  • Well spoken.  
  • Good Writing skills 
  • Knowledge of OAR’s, behavior professional OAR and K-Plan as well as how ODDS procedures
  • Excellent administrative skills both written and verbal. 

JOB FUNCTIONS:

The Case Coordinator shall: 

  • Always conduct themselves in a professional manner 
  • Promote the highest level of respect and kindness to our DSPs & clients/families.
  • Monitor and respond to all communications in a timely manner. 
  • Work collaboratively with their team and brainstorm solutions. 
  • Produce/Submit telecommute report when applicable. 
  • Bring all escalated issues to supervisor before making decisions that would be outside our standard operating procedures. 
  • Attending company functions and greeting clients. 
  • Abide by HIPAA rules and regulations. 
  • Keep and maintain notes on all meetings held that are unscheduled. 
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures as outlined by DSPC management team. 

*DSPC ebbs & flows. Expect changes as Management observes and refines processes.
