Quality Control Specialist

Onsite M-F 8am-4:30pm

As a Quality Control Specialist, you will test products to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements before final release. Products include lateral flow devices, ELISAs and microbiological sampling devices. This is for our Romer Labs division which offers a broad range of innovative products and services covering the detection of mycotoxins, food pathogens, food allergens, gluten, GMO, veterinary drug residues and melamine. www.romerlabs.com

Responsibilities:

• Validate product batches and issue certificates to show that the quality criteria are fulfilled
• Document quality issues and performance measures for management review
• Collect and maintain data using control charts
• Oversee final product quality inspection, identify on-going quality issues and prevent potential production issues in order to ensure product quality
• Evaluate current quality control methods and identify areas of potential improvement
• Maintain lab area according to the 5S standard and document activities to comply with internal and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards

You bring:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in related discipline
• Experience with aseptic technique, ELISAs or lateral flow devices preferred
• Ability to read and interpret SOPs and function within the scope of procedures
• Ability to handle and integrate multiple pieces of data to assure correctness
