Assistant Controller

Cromwell, CT

(Hybrid - In Office 2 Days a Week)

The Assistant Controller will support the business in the areas of Operations, DSCM and Purchasing, CAPEX and Working Capital to ensure that financial targets of BGs operating in the region are met. This position will operate within the regional finance team and work on optimizing and harmonizing financial processes & reporting and implementing best practices across dsm-firmenich.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and interpret the consolidated CAPEX and OPEX budgeting & forecasting and provide explanation to management.
• Standard Product costing/ raw material / cycle design & output consumption analysis.
• Support in business cases, DICI transformation, BOS support etc.
• Product costing/ raw material / cycle design & output consumption.
• Support analysis capital proposal and IRR assessments.
• Inventory, PPV,CAPEX/Projects and Working Capital forecasting.
• Cost Center Reporting budget owners.
• S4 Hana Key User.
• Internal Control Framework (ICF).
• Month End Close -Journal Entries, Account Reconciliations.

You Bring:

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance, and/or CMA, CPA, MBA.
• 3-7 years' relevant Finance/Accounting experience with knowledge of and track record in Finance and Control processes in various businesses/operations/ manufacturing environments.
• Familiar with Lean Sig Sixma methodologies.
• SAP/S4 Hana Key User highly preferred.
• Costing experience highly preferred.
