Assistant Superintendent/Customer Care Technician (Full-Time) - Monroe, LA

• Days and hours of work are Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop literacy in building code, construction and technical language, construction materials, construction schedules, construction methodologies and standards

• Assist Superintendent in performing their day-to-day operations of building homes in high volume neighborhoods

• Work on punch lists

• Communicate effectively with trades and suppliers

• Check spec homes

• Coordinate with trades and homeowners for any post-closing punch list items

• Maintain cleanliness of jobsites and maintain a safe work environment

• Conduct scheduled periodic home warranty inspections 6 and 12 months after closing, or as needed by the homeowner

• Document items needing repair during scheduled warranty inspections

• Work with Customer Care Coordinators with scheduling appointments with home owners and requesting work orders for repairs

• Educate homeowners to use and operate their homes’ mechanical and electrical equipment, as needed, during scheduled inspections

• Light sheetrock, paint, plumbing, electrical, etc. may be needed during the home warranty inspection

• Ensure all warranty service requests are complete within company standards

JOB REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS

• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a residential home building setting required; warranty and/or production department preferred

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s Degree preferred

• Must possess a strong work ethic and communication skills; ability to handle confrontation in a professional manner

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and using an iPad

• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

• Physical stamina is required because this position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, some climbing or balancing and carrying. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more. Position is often exposed to various weather conditions (especially heat), loud noise, and vibrations

• Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and valid motor vehicle liability insurance are required; <90% travel required to different locations within an assigned area
