Job Title: Plant Engineer

DSJ Global is currently partnered with a nationally leading food & beverage manufacturing organization who are looking for a Plant Engineer. This role will be based just outside of Little Rock, AR. The Plant Engineer will be responsible for the design organization, planning, and implementation of various engineering projects. You will also be responsible for overseeing maintenance and electrician/construction crews.

As the Plant Engineer, your main responsibilities will include:

• Provide expertise in the evaluation, selection, installation, and operation of new or existing machinery, and processes in the division.
• Process improvement/streamline duties that reduce costs or otherwise improve the quality of the product.
• Assist the director of processing and engineering in the establishment of a capital budget. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, creating individual project budgets, and calculating paybacks for those projects.
• Collaborate with division and corporate maintenance personnel concerning equipment installations, maintenance projects, and capital projects in both the planning and implementation phases of said items.
• Act as an intermediary between the organization and outside vendors/contractors during all steps of engineering projects, equipment repair, and facility repair.
• Prepare preliminary and detailed cost studies for projects affecting productivity, safety, and quality of plant operations.

Qualifications for this role include:

• 1 years of experience within process improvement and optimization projects
• BS in Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical preferred)
• Experience using AutoCad
• Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts
