Role Overview:
The successful candidate will act as the central point of contact for all tax related matters – including, but not limited to federal income tax, sales and use tax, and property tax.
The majority of federal and state income tax work is currently outsourced. The Tax Manager will manage the relationship with the external accounting firm: supply information, provide input on decisions, identify changes in the business which require tax analysis. The Tax Manager may eventually be responsible for completing some of the work currently outsourced.
The Tax Manager will recruit and manage a staff with comprehensive responsibility for the sales and use tax and the property tax functions for DS Smith North America.
Located in Atlanta, Ga., he or she will partner with stakeholders across the company including field finance leaders, DSS Corporate Accounting, DSS Finance Systems teams and Group Tax.
The ideal candidate should have strong people and customer service skills, a track record of process improvement, exceptional tax experience, and excellent teamwork skills along with an ability to work in an ever-changing environment.
