Job Description

Purpose of Position

The position of a DTS Warehouse Leader is to oversee warehouse activities including quality assurance, inventory controls, space management, logistics, shipping, and working directly with construction managers to provide materials for site builds.

Functional Responsibilities*

• Warehouse Housekeeping
• Trash-Trash to the road on Mondays each week.
• Parking lot-Ensure that trash is picked up daily and parking lot is leaf blown daily.
• Organization
• Trip/fall hazards
• Sweeping
• Grounds upkeep
• Other housekeeping tasks as requested.
• Physical receiving of material goods
• Checking off the packing slip to ensure all materials are received and TURN IN FORMS once completed.
• Loading/Unloading of materials.
• Placing materials in allocated space in storage.
• Kitting
• Must be completed 1 week ahead of time.
• Adhere to safety standards.
• Wearing all proper PPE, holding accountable all who enter warehouse work areas temporary or permanent.
• Facility Security
• Locking all gates, doors, etc.
• Continuous Improvement Contributions
• Taking initiative to stay ahead and on all tasks.
• Include up to date supporting documentation for damaged or missing receivables within the hour of receiving.
• Ensure that all materials are loaded with 100% accuracy and meeting DOT standards.

Knowledge – Skills – Abilities

• High School diploma / GED preferred
• Must possess a valid and unexpired and unrestricted driver’s license, along with a clean motor vehicle record
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions; able to follow verbal instructions
• Ability to perform work in various types of inclement weather and conditions; comfortable working at remote and difficult to reach sites
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted on a routine basis; up to 75 lbs on occasional basis
• Ability to bend, reach, twist, and kneel routinely throughout the work day
• Ability to safely work with hand and power tools in difficult positions and postures
