Description

As our CAD Design Team Lead, you will play a crucial role in overseeing a small team of CAD designers, ensuring seamless communication, and contributing to the successful completion of design projects. Collaborating closely with the VP of Product Development and other key stakeholders, you will be responsible for maintaining project schedules, upholding design standards, and implementing best practices within the company. Your role extends to hands-on involvement in design projects, encompassing 3D models, prototypes, and drawings, while also focusing on enhancing mechanical assemblies in the production facility through innovative mechanical designs, fixtures, and machinery 

What You’ll Do as our CAD Designer Lead:

• Communicate project needs and offer design assistance to a small team of CAD designers.
• Oversee the team to make sure drawings and designs are completed on time and accurately. 
• Work with VP of product Development to complete projects as scheduled. 
• Communicate with other lead designer/head engineer to establish best practices for the company. 
• Work on design projects, 3D models, prototypes and drawings as needed.
• Work on process improvements for mechanical assemblies in our production facility, through mechanical designs, fixtures and machinery. 

Requirements

What You Bring as Our CAD Designer Lead: :

•  Minimum of 5 years of hands-on knowledge and use of Solidworks. 
•  5 years minimum experience in mechanical design of products. 
• Experience in mechanical design and layout of production processes of mechanical products/assemblies. 
• Ability to solve problems and offer time saving process improvements through product design, machinery design and process improvements. 
• Experience in leading a team with a variety of projects at one time. 
• Experience in organizing and documenting mechanical products and engineering projects.
