Driving Force Graphics is Hiring a Vinyl Print Shop Production Manager with Graphic Design Experience Near Bend, OR

We are a full-service graphic design and sign shop serving Bend for over 24 years. We are a very unique shop that has a variety of departments and is looking for a full -time Production Manager with Graphic Design Experience that can multi-task, create and overall, just get the job done (while wearing many hats). If you have the willingness to learn new things and can work in a very fast paced environment, this is the job for you!

Job duties include (but not limited to) customer service, organizing workflow, graphic design, supervising employees:

Customer Services:

  • Superior customer service is a must. You will need experience in greeting customers, handling clients in person, over the phone and via email.
  • You will need to be able to contact clients with questions on specifications and/or working through customer concerns in a professional manner.
  • Ability to speak knowledgeably about department capability and company to potential and existing clients.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and support with problem solving.
  • Maintaining an accurate record of sale leads and quotes.
  • Effectively achieve performance objectives in a time sensitive and high-quality environment.
  • Provide other administrative support as necessary, including scheduling and maintaining calendars, minor accounting (creating work orders and invoices).

Organize workflow:

  • Works on different projects simultaneously without losing focus.
  • Creating workorders and then at the end of the project converting to invoices.
  • Highly developed organizational ability.
  • Monitor jobs in production and communicate with production and graphics specialists regarding special jobs, proofs, and shipping info.
  • Assist production specialist and communicate to ensure all deadlines are met and cost budget are adhered to.
  • Reads job specifications to understand scope of project; asks for clarification when needed.
  • Assist with monitoring inventory levels and stock to be reordered.
  • Assist with installations and/or table work including cut vinyl, signs, decals.
  • Prepares substrates for application, which may include loading and unloading printers, cutters, laminating, mounting, etc.
  • Weeds excess vinyl from cut images
  • Performs quality assurance measures pre- and post-production.
  • Help maintain cleanliness throughout the shop and office.

Graphic design as well as graphic file preparation:

  • Proficient with technology.
  • Experience with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; including learning new .
  • Ability to troubleshoot software/hardware problems.
  • Knowledge of wide format printing on various materials (wallcovering, vehicle graphics, wall murals, etc.)
  • Expert knowledge of equipment, and materials.

Supervise employees in a professional manner as well as personnel management

  • Positive attitude towards daily work, coworkers, and clients.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees when delegating work and explaining procedures and processes.
  • Train staff on proper procedures and techniques.
  • Establishes and maintains effective relationships with other teammates using courteous and professional manner.
  • Responsible to make sure jobs are coordinated and getting done in the timely manner.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of Digital Print Production management experience required.
  • 2-3 Years of graphic design experience

Previous experience with vehicle vinyl installation is a plus

This is a Full-time in-house position.

Working Hours: Monday - Thurday 7-5pm and Friday 8-12pm

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
