JOB DESCRIPTION: A General Manager for Fix Auto must be an experienced professional in every aspect of Auto Body Shop Collision Repair. Procedural knowledge and expertise are expected in Insurance Company Direct Referral Programs and Dealership/Agent Relationships. Job Responsibilities: Responsible for all daily operations of the shop, including workflow efficiencies, profitability, controlling cost, taking care of customers, maintaining strong team member performance, and establishing strategies and plans to obtain goals. Develop and maintain positive customer relations that will exceed Customer expectations and deliver 100% Customer satisfaction on every transaction. Customer Service surveys held in the highest regard, monitoring results continually. Engage with the Customers, educating the customer on the repair process and set expectations. Manage each and every Customer experience to ensure expectations are set and being met. Personal contribution is required and expected for business planning, sales growth ideas, and offering solutions for improvement. Responsible for establishing personal performance goals for yourself and the center in order to reach monthly sales plan. Responsible for creating a center strategy to obtain goals that are consistent and in-line with company expectations and standards of productivity. Understanding company profit & loss reporting, EBITDA, and gross profit reporting, strategizing and managing work and shop productivity on a daily basis to meet and exceed goals and grow profitability. Ability to manage margin through a profitable sales mix of labor, parts and material. Understanding Key Performance Indicators and managing to expectation, including cycle time efficiency, capturing customers, and customer service scores. Administer all facility functions for maximum efficiency and profitability. Forecast and maintain annual budget requirements and expenses, including equipment, cost of labor, staff schedule management, and oversee accounts receivable collections. Maintain & Submit Shop Payroll: Managing Timeclock and Overtime/Meal Breaks Daily Maintain Repair Order Job Costing, Perform Final Repair Order Audit for Proper Documentation, Confirm Payment and Close the Repair Planner Files. Learn and Understand the Fix terminology, system and technology programs at an expert level. Utilize tools and resources provided to manage center metrics. Keep current on any technology or system changes in products and services that Fix offers and implement successfully within your center to ensure all staff is trained and utilizing appropriately. Follow Fix Auto Standard Operating Procedures. Implement and train appropriately at your center on all processes. Administer shop level HR programs. Extensive Knowledge in Insurance Carrier DRP Account Management: Capture, drive estimates and DRP assignments. Understand customer and vehicle check in procedures, including preparing accurate and realistic estimates, minimizing supplements. Comply with various DRP requirements. Process adjusted claims. Maintain professional relationships with adjusters and insurance company representatives. Achieve maximum profitability through effective program management. Comply with all Bureau of Automotive Repair Regulations. Understand VeriFacts verification services and assessments. Perform final quality control inspections ensuring all vehicles meet the Fix Auto Standard of Quality. Ensure every vehicle is repaired to manufacturer specifications. Promote and sustain existing business relationships. Develop new business relationships within your local community and with local dealerships. Competence to create integrity at all levels. Maintain strict control of the shop organization and flow of the vehicles on the lot. Hand-On management of all shop operations including Customer Check in procedures, planning the repair, production line, quality control and customer communication. This will require a high level of communication with the shop personnel to ensure all staff are trained continually and consistently. Develop and evaluate team member on job performance. Observe and interact with team members during their work-day, understand how they perform their job and how you can help them be more efficient. Set clear expectation and hold team members accountable for results. Understand and be able to perform the duties of your staff, including Office Manager, Repair Planner, Customer Care Specialist, Parts and Production Manager. Ensure backfill staffing is planned and implemented, and that all staff are trained appropriately. Effectively manage personnel and resources to maximize production and profitability. Know and understand the federal, state and local requirements which govern the company’s business including safety compliance, environmental/hazardous waste and regulations within a body shop operation. Assist other Fix Auto Shops as needed with personnel, equipment or other requested needs. Key Performance Metrics Meet minimum monthly and annual sales and net profit plans on a consistent basis. Maintain center Key Performance goals including, but not limited to Carrier KPI, Cycle Time efficiency of 7 days or less, Customer Service Index, Net Promoter Score 90 and Administrative Excellence with Clean Files that are BAR Compliant and AR collected within 30 days. Skills/Qualifications: 10-15 Years Auto Body Shop, General Management Experience Understanding and Experience with Insurance DRP and Processes Excellent interpersonal communication skills and relationship building skills Demonstrated Professionalism, Self-Motivator with Strong Leadership and Mentoring Skills Team Building knowledge and experience Budget and Expenses Planning Business and/or Office Management training or skills High School Education with post-secondary education and certifications a plus Behavioral Excellence Required: Perform all assigned activities according to the Standardized Operating Procedures of the company Continuously strive to improve the efficiency of the overall company operation, and be willing to participate in company meetings and training programs which are sponsored by the company Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate characteristics on a professional leader. Set an example by being present in the shop on a consistent basis. Arrive early, leave late with the team, and commit to working special hours to ensure success. Promote the quality and value of yourself and your shop. Take Ownership of the appearance, functionality, maintenance and cleanliness of the facility both inside and out. Provide guidance, leadership and direction for the entire facility. Oversee and administer all departments in the facility. Uphold the company’s non-disclosure and confidentiality policies and agreements Position Location: California Compensation Range: $90,000.00 - $150,000.00 Compensation Frequency: Annual Base pay offered may vary depending on actual location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
