We're looking for an energized automotive professional with a background in collision repair to join our Chicago team! As an Automotive Body Technician, you will be able to accurately assess damages to vehicles involved in collisions and repair those vehicles back to the original quality including straightening frames.
What you'll do
- Thoroughly examine vehicle damages
- Return vehicles back to factory specifications
- Remove vehicle trim to gain access to vehicle bodies
- Properly fill depressions with body filler and ensure a quality repair
- Remove damaged parts using power tools and a cutting torch
- Bolt or weld replacement parts in position using power tools and welding equipment
- Straighten bent automobile frames using a frame rack
- File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools
- Aim headlights, make cosmetic repairs
- Replace bolts on panels and align properly
- Perform other duties as assigned by management

Compensation range: $25-$40 hourly
