We are interested in hiring experienced and new graduate Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Assistants. The occupational therapy practice at Driscoll clinics would support a referral base from primary care pediatricians and a wide range of pediatric subspecialists. The children treated at Driscoll Children’s Hospital present with various clinical needs, including developmental delays (fine motor, visual motor, gross motor), congenital anomalies, neuromuscular disorders, autism spectrum disorders, activities of daily living, and sensory processing delays. Opportunities exist for clinical growth across diagnoses and age ranges, co-treating, and team collaboration with other disciplines. The occupational therapy team of over 12 staff is passionate about their work and generous with their expertise. Pediatric experience is preferred but not required. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred but not required.
Driscoll Children’s Hospital Rehabilitation Services serves a tertiary care children’s hospital in Corpus Christi. The department supports cardiac, pediatric, and neonatal intensive care units, medical-surgical units including oncology, neurology, and orthopedics, and the full spectrum of pediatric specialty physician practices. In addition, the outpatient rehabilitation clinic is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.

To provide Occupational Therapy services to patients of the Driscoll Children’s Health System. To assist with coordination of specific departmental activities and/or services.

- Complies with infection control responsibilities in the department.
- Assumes the role of care coordinator when appropriate.
- Will occasionally drive for Driscoll Children’s Hospital business.
- May occasionally participate in a community visit for the benefit of the patient.
- Routinely demonstrates the ability to solve complex problems independently within their hospital role, clinical and non-clinical.

Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy and five years experience or
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy and five years experience or
- Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy and five years experience
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations.
Required:
- Current Texas Licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Current Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (within 6 months from date of hire)
- Current CPR certification
