DrinkPAK LLC is Hiring a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist Near Santa Clarita, CA

Description

LOCATION The position is based at DrinkPAK's headquarters in Santa Clarita, California.

TEAM The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist will report to the Chief Human Resource Officer.

POSITION This position will be responsible for the talent acquisition function for the organization, including a near-term focus on key high-level roles nationwide and subsequent full cycle recruiting of all job levels.

TYPE Full Time; Salaried / Exempt

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, implement, and facilitate all phases of a high performing recruiting process. 
  • Use innovative sourcing channels to convert hard-to-find passive talent including social media, resume mining, diversity resources, and networking.
  • Manage full cycle recruiting for Southern California corporate headquarters with pending expansion into Texas and Pennsylvania, including intake meetings with hiring managers to assess skill and experience requirements, job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, and scheduling, phone/Zoom interviews, offer generation and negotiation, etc., and ensure a positive candidate experience. 
  • Conduct in-depth screens and assess potential candidates for level of interest, cultural fit, qualifications, and compensation requirements.
  • Actively recruit for all levels of the organization.
  • Evaluate various departmental operations to identify the needs of hiring additional staff and act as a talent advisor to hiring managers and cross-functional partners.
  • Develop and deliver training to hiring managers to ensure consistency in process across organization. Training should include understanding and development of core competencies, job description creation, interview do’s and don’ts, proper candidate selection, etc.
  • Optimize and utilize current Applicant Tracking Software (Paylocity), including job posting and promotion, and candidate management, ensuring data integrity. 
  • Develop Talent Acquisition Key Performance Indicators and data reports to understand efficiency and identify areas of opportunity in recruiting strategy.
  • Develop relationships with local colleges and universities, attend job fairs and recruiting events, and utilize HandShake for job postings, as appropriate.
  • Stay current on market data, trends and competitors to develop a strategy to guide the business in filling DrinkPAK’s needs faster.
  • Partner with site Human Resources function to develop and implement internship programs.
  • Lead special projects/recruiting initiatives and other assignments/duties as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, states and local employment laws and regulations, DrinkPAK safety rules and other policies and procedures, and promote safety-first culture and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices. 
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job. Role may require working nights and weekends as needed to support the business.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful job performance. 
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience and proven success as a senior-level recruiter placing high level positions including C-suite roles preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in the Food & Beverage industry is a plus.
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred but not required.
  • Willingness to learn the business and various roles to build strong working relationships with hiring managers and develop a strong sales pitch to attract top talent.
  • Proven ability to build effective and high-performing teams.
  • Strong social media presence and comfort with sourcing candidates via LinkedIn and other social networking sites. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and strong ability to multi-task, including multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth, ambiguous, start-up environment.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Experience negotiating offers, relocation packages, and benefits.
  • Experience with optimizing or implementing Applicant Tracking Software.
  • Experience developing a nascent recruiting function. 
  • Strong understanding of compliance with government laws/regulations.
  • Willingness to take on any task to support the needs and growth of the company (i.e., no task is too big or small).
