The Hotel operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting times, and hours worked in a week.Manage access to the parking lotWork efficiently to direct large flows of trafficGreet customers and help them take items to their cars; direct cars when need.Ensure that guests needs are exceeded.Interact and effectively communicate with visitors and guests.Maintain cleanliness and integrity of the hotel's parking facility.Assist guests with unloading and loading their vehicles.Issue tickets to individuals entering the parking facility and collecting parking fees from those leaving the facilityGreet and assist guests by opening doors, directing them to the nearest open parking spots and helping them to exit vehicles and the parking facility when neededPark and return vehicles for guests during valet service hours while respecting guest property and safely driving the vehiclesProvide customer service and information upon request, including answering general questions about the parking fees and facility, giving directions and supplying maps of the areaObserve security monitors to ensure no criminal activity occurs and report any activity to the proper authorities as neededMaintain a clean environment by sweeping up parking areas and picking up any refuse left in the facilityPerform maintenance to barrier systems if needed or report issues to the proper maintenance staff KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESHigh school diplomaValid driver’s license with clean driving recordSkills in driving vehicles with manual and automatic transmissionsExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to pass a criminal background check Previous parking lot service experienceWork flexible hours, including weekends, evenings and holidays PHYSICAL DEMANDSPosition requires standing and walking for long periods of time and performing physical duties including lifting.Occasional twisting, bending, stooping and reachingFrequent talking, hearing, seeing, and smiling.
