ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS This description is a summary of primary responsibilities and qualifications. The job description is not intended to include all duties or qualifications that may be required now or in the future. The Hotel operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting times, and hours worked in a week. POSITION WILL START MID-MAY
Primary responsibility will be patrolling pools, marina and pool bar areas.
Handling guest’s disturbances, and first aid calls.
Must possess excellent hospitality and communication skills, be able to handle difficult situations in a calm manner i.e. intoxicated guests, domestic calls.
Must have at least 6 months of experience in the security field.
Warn or eject troublemakers and caution careless persons.
Assist management and enforcement officers in emergency situations.
Respond to and resolve guest requests, complaints, or questions in a courteous and timely manner.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Must demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors
Ability to accurately, factually, and objectively report information to appropriate parties in a timely manner
Ability to scrupulously follow all Driftwood and hotel policies and procedures
High school education and relevant training and experience required; additional education preferred
Must have current Fist Aid Certification
Additional language ability preferred
Must be able to pass a criminal background check
Projects and assignments are completed thoroughly, professionally, and with care
Consistently projects a positive demeanor
Assumes responsibility for personal growth and development
Conducts him\herself (acts and dresses) professionally at all times; sets standards for all associates

Must have a comprehensive knowledge of applicable Federal, state, and local health, safety, and legal regulations
Must have a knowledge of mathematical and computer skills
High school education and relevant training and experience required; additional education preferred
Ability to timely obtain any required licenses or certificates
Additional language ability preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to tolerate hot and cold weather and able to work on feet for long periods of time
