We are looking to hire a passionate dance instructor to join our DREAM dance studio. You will be responsible for teaching tap / ballet / acro / or more, choreographing, and training a dynamic group of students with ages ranging 9 . You are also encouraging that all students are engaged, motivated, and inspired to achieve their goals!

Responsibilities:

• Ability to teach using various styles of dance technique and methodologies from beginner to advanced level.
• Develop tap dance curriculums and prepare lesson plans.
• Ability to communicate with a diverse group of teachers and students.
• Engage, encourage, and motivate students to reach their goals.
• Evaluate student performance and make recommendations for improvement.
• Choreograph routines for recitals, showcases, and possible competitions.
• Conduct group classes and private lessons as scheduled.
• Provide a fun and creative environment.
• Keep up to date in your discipline and implement any changes to the dance routines and curriculum as needed.

Requirements:

• HIGHLY PREFERRED: Bachelor's degree in dance or qualification from an accredited college. *All of our DreamMakers staff have bachelor degree(s) and/or currently working on one. We pride ourselves on high education in addition to professional and/or years of experience.
• Previous teaching experience required.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Energetic, driven, creative, and dependable.
• Demonstrate patience and leadership skills.

*Open to teaching other styles (ballet, jazz, contemporary, modern, hip hop, character, acro, etc.), if needed as well as subbing when our Dream Team instructors need coverage.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 10 per week
