ROLE OVERVIEW
The Operations Specialist will oversee the daily operations of DreamHouse ‘Ewa Beach
Public Charter School’s multiple campuses. They will manage a wide range of strategic,
operational, administrative, and executive support-related projects and tasks while
being able to work independently with limited direct guidance; this person is
entrepreneurial and independently capable and motivated. The operations specialist is
well organized, flexible, and enjoys the challenges of supporting a diverse group of
individuals in the context of a new, fast-growing public charter school in West O‘ahu.
The Operations Specialist is managed, coached, and supported by the Business
Manager
OBJECTIVES

• Collaborate with Leadership team in development of performance goals and

long-term operational plans;

• Maximize efficiency and productivity through process analysis and

interdepartmental collaboration;

• Set strategic goals for operational efficiency and increased productivity;
• Analyze current operational processes and performance recommending

solutions for improvement when necessary.
RESPONSIBILITIES
SUPPLIES & SERVICES

• Build and maintain relationships with all DreamHouse stakeholders and make

decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals;

• Manage each part of the supply chain to ensure procurement of services and

supplies align with State of Hawaii requirements;

• Develop and implement all parts of solicitations for goods and services by

preparing advertisements of formal bids, assemble and format solicitations for
conformance with applicable provisions of the Hawaii Revised Statues and
procurement rules, collects and publicly opens bids, presents bids to Business
Manager for selection, and communicates

• Manage the development, processing, and maintenance of contract documents

in support of a centralized procurement process.

• Lead the school Day One process each year to ensure the school is ready to

open by ordering furniture, equipment, instructional supplies, and ensuring that
student services (food,tech, etc) are ready.
TECHNOLOGY

• Ensures that students and staff have access to needed technology and works

with contracted IT provider to plan technology related activities and
enhancements

• Manages the school’s asset inventory

OPERATIONS

• Uphold organization policies and standards are followed.
• Ensures that the school is prepared for emergencies by conducting all drills and

training staff on emergency plans

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Position is a 12-Month role aligned to HGEA Bargaining Unit 13;
• Salary is aligned to BU-13 and commensurate with experience;
• Health coverage and retirement options provided as a State of Hawai‘i

employee.
