SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The primary role of the Permitting Manager is to oversee all aspects of the permitting department including generation of complete and accurate permit packages, and the even flow of house starts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate the timely preparation and submission of individual lot Building Permits
• Coordinate all permit submittals with appropriate municipalities.
• Plan preparation and document collection for house start packages.
• Facilitate communication with architects as needed.
• Interface with municipal governing bodies, public utilities and industry associations.
• Manage permit coordinators to ensure the department is successful.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE

• Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal.
• Comfortable presenting ideas and solutions to leadership and key business partners.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills, follow-up skills, and time management skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships.
• Proficient in MS Excel and Word.
• High level of urgency.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. Vision abilities required by the job are close vision. The employee is often required to sit and use their
