DRDA, PLLC is Hiring an Audit Staff II Near Houston, TX

Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Perform detailed audit procedures on financial statement account balances
  • Prepare interim and annual compilations and preparation of financial statements
  • Set up all permanent and current file workpapers using Engagement Solutions
  • Participate in the engagement planning process
  • Research accounting issues as required
  • Draft annual financial statements, including footnote disclosures
  • Meet utilization and realization standards
  • Communicate with clients as needed
  • Available to travel, as necessary, to perform audit field work
  • Available to work during normal business hours
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime, after hours and/or weekends as needed to meet business demands with prior manager approval
  • Adhere to all DRDA policies
  • Promote and demonstrate a sound understanding of firm purpose, brand promise and core values
  • Assist with special projects on request
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed audit procedures on financial statement account balances
  • Set up all permanent and current file workpapers using Engagement Solutions
  • Participate in the engagement planning process
  • Research accounting issues as required
  • Draft annual financial statements, including footnote disclosures
  • Meet utilization and realization standards
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Possess basic typing skills
  • Perform special projects on request

Technical Skills

  • Basic understanding of accounting concepts and theory
  • Basic knowledge of requirements and steps to complete full disclosure compilations, review and audit engagements
  • Knowledge and use of PPC engagement tools
  • Sound understanding of firm purpose, brand promise and core values
  • Sound understanding of business of accounting rather than practice of accounting
