Purpose:

The management of day-to-day insurance matters for the Company, including oversight of insurance compliance by Company vendors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Duties and Responsibilities

• Interpret and guide Company personnel on contractual insurance provisions and requirements
• Collaborate with team members, management, and other Company personnel on projects involving risk and risk mitigation
• Maintain an efficient workflow process to receive, review and issue required documentation, and monitor the status of Company and vendor insurance policies
• Correspond with underwriters and vendors to obtain missing/incomplete documentation and ensure compliance with applicable law and Company requirements
• Work with local purchasing department teams to ensure continuous compliance with Company insurance requirements and risk tolerances
• Assist with management of Company’s internal corporate insurance program
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills

• Intermediate knowledge of insurance policies
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent people skills, with an ability to collaborate with individuals at all levels of an organization
• Solid project management skills
• Ability to gather and analyze information from multiple sources
• Flexible and able to multi-task and establish priorities
• Able to work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment
• Willingness to communicate on the phone routinely throughout the workday
• Ability to always meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and business-related software

Education & Work Experience

• College degree or significant experience in the insurance industry
• 3 years of experience with insurance products and compliance is required
• Prior homebuilding industry experience preferred but not required
