Lead Maintenance Technician

So, what will you be doing? 
The Lead Maintenance Technician is responsible is forall maintenance activities on equipment and administrative functions to supportsite operations. Responsibilities include setting up and maintaining toolingmeasuring equipment, such as micrometers, height gages, etc. and maintainingtolerances to avoid poor quality products. The individual will be responsibleand performing routine maintenance as required and helping plant managementcreate a strategic direction for maintaining the facility’s mechanicalequipment and/or maintenance.
The core responsibilities and duties include:

• Take ownership of personal development
• Adhere to agreed policies and practices to maintain an effective workplace capable of meeting its objectives
• Manage relationships internally and externally
• Share expertise and knowledge
• Proactively cross train in plant activities/projects
• Provide training for technicians and operators on proper tooling usage and handling
• Maintain proper inventory of pellet mill and hammermill consumable
• Drive a HSE culture at the site through utilization of safety tools and demonstrated work practices.
• Subject matter expert on equipment maintenance
• To execute and drive efficient PM Completion Rate.
• Ability to assist with calls outs during irregular working hours.
• Utilization of 5s and related tools.

Who you are?
Do you have?

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 5 years industrial experience
• Ability to adapt to working within a team with minimal supervision
• Maintain and adjust equipment to maximize production and minimize downtime
• Must have a professional attitude and work well with others
• Promote a safe working environment and follow all workplace and job safety procedures
• Perform/coordinate good housekeeping in the facility
• Use daily checklists, PM’s and Work Orders to maintain optimal performance of the plants
• Capable of leading and training less experienced technicians.
• Ability to navigate through different software used within the organization (AX, SAI360, etc.)
• Microsoft Office proficient
• Capable of mechanical tasks including bearing replacement, motor alignments, basic rigging knowledge, basic welding knowledge, multi-craft skills (electrical knowledge a plus)
• Must be able to work at heights as needed or on elevated surfaces
