Job Summary:

The assistant director of production will assist the production division of the company, ensuring effective and efficient use of facilities and staff.

Essential Functions:

• Manages the manufacture of products, ensuring production, performance, and quality standard are consistently met.
• Reviews production reports to ensure safety, quality, financial, and delivery goals and standards are met.
• Ensures a healthy and safe working environment, and compliance with federal and state regulations, through collaboration with environmental, health and safety staff.
• Assists Director of Production with long-range operating goals, expansion efforts, and implementation of new and advanced technology.
• Identifies and communicates training opportunities for staff to build and improve skill set.
• Organizes departmental structure and teams for optimal, efficient operations.
• Works with Director of Production to develop operating budget.
• Delivers progress and production reports to Director of Production as requested.
• Collaborations with Director of Production on equipment purchases, maintenance, and layout.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• 5 years of industrial management experience required

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position will supervise and/or assist employees related to specific projects across all the departments within the organization.
