Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team. The Excavator Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining excavators and other heavy equipment on sewer and water line replacment job sites.
Responsibilities:
- Operate excavators and other heavy equipment efficiently and safely
- Perform excavation, trenching, grading, and backfilling duties as required
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Follow safety protocols and regulations at all times
- Coordinate with the construction team to meet project deadlines
-Knowledge of county, city, sanitation district permit and inspection requirements and protocols
- Utilize mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, specifically with excavators
- Proficiency in operating Takeuchi machinery, loaders, graders, and backhoes
- Commercial driving experience with tanker endorsements is a plus
- Strong mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
