Summary:
The Solution Architect is responsible for building strategies and solutions to help clients solve complex business problems and take advantage of opportunities to be more innovative and competitive in their space. This person is responsible for architecture, solutioning, and will be hands-on in development and leading their development team.
Strategy/Consulting:
·Establish relationships with business stakeholders, merge business goals, and shape solutions that deliver business outcomes
·Develop state-of-the-art solutions
·Establish contacts within business units to understand activities and drivers, business requirements and solutions strategies
Estimation/Scope:
·Review project estimates
·Define requirements and test cases
· Identify and mitigate risks
·Manage scope during development life cycle
·Estimate sales opportunities
Architecture:
·Design and develop architecture governance, standards, reference architectures and reference implementations
·Design the application architecture
·Ensure that DragonSpears’ best practices and coding standards are followed
·Perform peer code reviews frequently
·Ensure that proper unit tests are in place for both server side and client-side code
·Ensure all the unit tests are functional and passing
Project Efficiency:
·Look for ways to increase team’s productivity by eliminating waste
·Prioritize and distribute tasks to different resources so that they are working to the best of their abilities
·Work with team on forecasting and allocation
Leadership:
·Mentor developers and demonstrate exemplary behaviors from technical and cultural standpoint
·Be firm, fair, and consistent with feedback
·Build and maintain high team morale
Communication:
·Ensure consistency in concepts discussed with the clients from all team members
·Ensure consistency in terminology discussed with the clients from all team members
·Ensure that core concepts and design decisions are documented
·Ensure necessary setup and documentation is created and updated
·Ensure deployment and production documentation is created and updated
Deployment:
·Accountable for an iteration and overall project outcome
·Create and maintain automated build process that will run all the unit tests
·Ensure that the deployment checklist is used when starting a new project
·Ensure that faulty deployments complete the deployment checklist
QA:
·Ensure team is prepared for Sprint review by testing expected functionality beforehand
·Work with PM to validate UI functionality
·Validate data integrity and code quality
·Mentor team members
·QA for Critical path and functionality (Regression Testing)
·Peer testing/Code review

Required education and experience: At least 12 years of professional experience. 5 years in a client consulting capacity
Technical requirements:
·Visual Studio, SQL Server or Postgres, .Net, C#
·Angular or React/Vue, HTML, CSS, JavaScript/Typescript
·Terraform,, Cloud Formation, or ARM templates
·AWS (API Gateway, Lambdas, SNS, Dynamo, etc.), and Azure (API Manager, App Services, Functions, ASB, Cosmos, etc.)
·Azure DevOps or Jenkins
