Dragonfly Pond Works is Hiring a Pond and Lake Maintenance, Regional Manager Near Fort Myers, FL

Dragonfly Pond Works is a leading environmental service company specializing in stormwater management. Since 2006, Dragonfly has provided routine maintenance and repairs on stormwater devices, lakes, ponds, wetlands, and underground facilities. The core purpose of this position is to ensure that the company's clients are serviced following the highest standard of quality while maximizing the efficiency and productivity of assigned crew members operating in the field. This role is integral to the smooth and profitable execution of work performed by Dragonfly Pond Works.

Responsibilities

  • Service management:
    • Oversee all maintenance and mowing operations within the branch.
    • Ensure efficient and profitable completion of maintenance, mowing, and inspection services for all accounts, every month, in accordance with service contracts.
    • New account site walks and on-site supervision with Regional Managers as needed.
    • Scheduling of all monthly mowing accounts, time posting and review, and identify efficient routing for all assigned crews.
    • Develop and maintain a safety-first Maintenance program where all team members are adhering to safety precautions and best-management practices.
    • Quality control and continuous in-field training for assigned crews, ensure crews are completing the entire scope based on related compliance requirements and client expectations.
    • Estimating support and guidance for services sold.
    • Maintain vehicles and equipment in good working order, manage inventory of assigned equipment.
  • Field based training of new and existing employees:
    • Safe operation of all equipment such as driving with truck and trailer, proper storage and securing equipment & chemicals, general safety is a priority.
    • Identification of beneficial and invasive plant species.
    • Technical skills and project approach.
    • Report writing for effective communication through monthly Maintenance Logs and other service reports.
  • Direct Management of Maintenance and Mowing crews:
    • Performance evaluations and quality control.
    • Ensure efficient routing and full scope of work is complete.
    • Provide support and guidance as needed for all team members and other stakeholders.
  • Quality Control:
    • Maintain the highest standards of quality by means of sufficient training, proper staffing, accountability and ownership of responsibilities assigned.
  • Growth:
    • Look for potential growth opportunities with existing and potential clients. Pass leads and repair recommendations along to Client Service Managers.
    • Facilitate additional internal staffing as the need arises.
  • Equipment and Vehicle Management.
  • Various administrative duties relating to field staff management.
  • Perform frequent Quality Assessments for all assigned field employees.
  • Assist HR, Branch Managers, RM's and Director of Operations in interviewing job applicants and with onboarding process of new employees.
  • Acquire and maintain current certifications as required for project specific tasks and to expand knowledge base of safety requirements.
  • Identify safety training and licensing needs for field staff.
  • All other duties as assigned by the Branch Manager.

What you need

  • Former field experience (Construction, Landscaping, Lake/Pond Maintenance).
  • Excellent managerial capabilities.
  • Highly organized with great attention to detail.
  • Great communication skills and ability to interact with multiple audiences, including the Operations Team, Client Service Managers, clients, subcontractors, vendors and other stakeholders.
  • Adapt and/or improvise quickly, as demanded by conditions or unknown factors.
  • Capability to work under pressure.
  • Good teamwork.
  • Ability to lift 80 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Aptitude to work outside for long periods of time in unfavorable conditions.
  • Willingness to travel to assist other branches with notice..
  • Systems-oriented.
  • Results-driven.
