Dr. Schneider Automotive Systems, Inc. is Hiring a Material Planner Near Russell, KY
We are looking for a highly motivated person to join our Materials team and support our growing business. We are looking for someone who enjoys the fast and furious, figuring things out rather than being told what to do.
In this role, you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Provide customer service and maintain customer portals.
- Be able to read and generate daily / weekly / monthly / yearly forecast.
- Daily analyze and monitoring of customer requirements EDI.
- Daily analyze and monitoring of stock levels (molded components, resins, purchased parts, and etc.).
- Manages direct procurement of raw materials, purchase components, packaging and others.
- Generating supplier releases and monitoring the delivery status.
- Works in conjunction with suppliers and other departments to ensure products are received, warehoused and shipped on time.
- Troubleshoots current logistic systems to ensure accuracy of transactions and inventory count
- Be part of the cycle counts and inventory team.
- Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or mixes, or carriers
- Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, or customer issues.
- Implement specific customer requirements, such as internal reporting or customized transportation metrics.
- Meet schedule for task completion, take corrective action when a timeline is in trouble, efficient routing of job through shop.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- A bachelor degree is required, with a preferred concentration in Business, Finance, Accounting, Logistics, Engineering or related field.
- At least 2 years work experience with MRP Systems.
- At least 2 years work experience in automotive manufacturing, preferred injection molding.
- Intermediate PC Skills (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Logical and strong mathematical skills are must.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills including strong project and time management skills.
