Dr. Rotz and Associates is Hiring a Dental Assistant Near Wexford, PA

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for dentistry and a desire to make a positive impact on patients' oral health.

Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
- Take and develop dental X-rays
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Perform dental receptionist duties, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions
- Maintain infection control protocols and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Conduct patient assessments, including taking vital signs and medical history
- Assist with dental laboratory procedures, such as pouring and trimming models
- Perform basic dental laboratory tasks, such as fabricating temporary crowns

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred
- X-ray certification required; additional certifications such as CPR and coronal polishing are a plus
- Proficiency in dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and practices
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Skills:
- CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software proficiency for creating digital impressions
- Knowledge of medical imaging techniques for capturing dental images
- Familiarity with patient assessment techniques for evaluating oral health conditions
- Understanding of dental receptionist duties for managing appointments and patient records
