Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Scrub Tech to join our team. As a Scrub Tech, you will play a crucial role in assisting surgeons and other medical professionals during surgical procedures. Your attention to detail and knowledge of medical terminology will contribute to the success and safety of each operation. Responsibilities: - Prepare operating rooms for surgery, ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are available - Assist in positioning and prepping patients for surgery - Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons during procedures - Maintain a sterile field by practicing aseptic techniques - Monitor patient vital signs and communicate any changes to the surgical team - Assist with wound closure by applying sutures or staples as directed by the surgeon - Clean and restock operating rooms after procedures - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest level of patient care Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a formal Scrub Tech training program preferred - Previous experience as a Scrub Tech or similar role strongly preferred - Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and surgical procedures - Familiarity with various surgical instruments and equipment - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously - Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team Skills: - Pediatrics - Patient care - Vital signs monitoring - Medical terminology - ICU experience - Suture application - Aseptic technique - Critical care knowledge - Anatomy knowledge We offer competitive pay rates and comprehensive benefits packages.
