Dr. Q's Pet Vet is a new small animal clinic in Delray Beach. We pride ourselves on providing the best care to our patients and customer service to our clients. We are looking for a detail-oriented, motivated, outgoing and compassionate team-player to join our team!

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1-2 years experience as a Veterinary Technician.

• Some knowledge of heart-worm prevention, flea and tick prevention, and basic vaccine protocols

• Must have the ability to multitask as well as work individually

• Strong organization skills and attention to detail

• A positive attitude and the ability to communicate

• Intermediate/advanced computer skills. Our practice is 100% paperless.

• Available to work Saturdays and holidays when needed.

• Able to lift up to 25 lbs.

• Good time management.

Responsibilities include:

• Answering phones and scheduling appointments

• Taking X-rays of animals

• Places catheters and obtains blood for testing.

• Make outbound phone calls for updates and reminders.

• Cleaning and maintenance of the clinic.

• Assisting Doctors in the treatment room.

• Restraining pets during exams, nail trims, ear cleanings, etc.

• Administering medications and vaccines prescribed by a veterinarian , filling prescriptions.

• Walking patients in and out of building

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Holidays
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• Animal Care: 1 year (Preferred)
• Veterinary Assistant: 2 years (Preferred)
