TRANSPORTATION COORDINATION (Part-Time)

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience in working with individuals over 55 years of age and/or volunteers

• Computer knowledge (Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel)

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for recruiting new Faith in Action volunteers by handing out flyers and presenting the program to community organizations, churches, and residential neighborhoods.

• Performs a variety of duties in handling and organizing transportation for frail elderly clients.

• Reviews and calculates volunteer mileage and input accurate mileage and travel information in the spreadsheet.

• Develops reports to program funders as needed.

• Using excellent customer service skills, establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other employees, program volunteers and clients.

• Responsible for coordinating transportation needs with clients and program volunteers.

• Organizes transportation schedule to ensure the timely transportation of frail elderly clients.

• Answers phone calls and provides information to the public regarding programs and services of the center and refers callers to an appropriate agency for assistance if needed.

• Completes phone assessments for prospective clients requesting transportation to ensure they are within the scope of the program.

• Acts as liaison between the program volunteers and frail elderly clients to enhance communication and teamwork.

• Ability to provide information about the Faith in Action Transportation Program, either one on one or as a speaker to a group of individuals.

• Performs other duties as directed.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
