Dr. Nickel’s Animal Hospital is looking for a full time (32-34 hours) experienced licensed veterinary technician to join our happy team in our growing, busy privately owned one doctor practice.

We are looking for an experienced LVT that is reliable, has a strong work ethic, solid technical skills and is an effective communicator and troubleshooter.

Duties and skills of the LVT candidate: ability to read fecal and urinary samples, prepare laboratory work, perform venipuncture and catheter placement, obtaining and recording patient history, client education, taking radiographs, patient assessment, triage phone calls, dentistry, surgical preparation and assisting, anesthetic monitoring, patient recovery, and compassionate pet care.

Salary is commensurate with technical abilities and experience. Personnel pet care benefits, paid holidays, vacation after time accrued at hospital, retirement, and paid CE.

The hospital is open one Saturday month. When the hospital is open Saturday it is closed the Friday prior to.
