Dr. Mike & Friends Pediatrics practice serves Coos Bay, North Bend, Brookings, Florence and the surrounding communities in Oregon. We offer quality care for infants, children, and adolescents. Parents and patients alike enjoy our warm and caring environment. Our friendly staff offers daily availability so you can receive the treatment you need. We understand that nothing is more important to you than your child, and we take the trust our parents and patients give us very seriously. We promise to never take that for granted.

Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team in the Health Care industry. As a nurse practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing patient care and delivering high-quality healthcare services. You will work collaboratively with physicians and healthcare professionals to diagnose and treat patients, promote wellness, and educate individuals on maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of patients and their families. You will assess and manage acute and chronic illnesses, conduct physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and develop comprehensive treatment plans. Additionally, you will provide counseling, support, and guidance to patients and their families, ensuring they receive the best possible care and education about their health conditions.
The ideal candidate for this position is a dedicated and compassionate healthcare professional with strong clinical skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are crucial, as you will be interacting with patients from diverse backgrounds and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
· Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' health status
· Diagnose and treat common acute and chronic illnesses
· Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood work and imaging studies
· Prescribe medications and monitor treatment plans
· Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
· Provide education and counseling to patients and their families on preventive care, treatment options, and healthy lifestyle choices
· Monitor and evaluate patients' response to treatments and modify care plans as necessary
· Document patients' medical histories, symptoms, and progress in electronic medical records
Requirements
· Valid nurse practitioner license and certification
· Excellent clinical skills and ability to make evidence-based decisions
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
· Strong organization and time management skills
· Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education
