Position Summary:

The Optometric technician is responsible for assisting the Optometrist in the performance of their duties. They will be responsible for assisting the doctor in their assigned areas of responsibility. The Optical Technician is expected to demonstrate a high level of accuracy, attention to detail and professionalism in their work. They must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Essential Functions:

  • Assisting the Optometrists with patient care, including patient examination, scribe, and scheduling.
  • Cleaning and sterilizing lenses, frames, and equipment.
  • Keeping the department clean and organized.
  • Maintaining the optometry office equipment inventory.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the optometry manager or supervisor.
  • Adhering to all HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
  • Communicating with patients, caregivers, management, and other employees in a professional manner.
  • Maintaining proper documentation for patient care activities.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 21 – 28 per week
