Dr. Michael Clapper DDS is Hiring a Dental Assistant Near Palm Springs, CA

Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about dentistry and patient care. Duties: - Assist the dentist during dental procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients - Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments - Take and develop dental x-rays - Perform dental charting and maintain accurate patient records - Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures - Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions - Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as pouring impressions and fabricating temporary crowns - Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office calendar - Assist with dental receptionist duties as needed Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a dental assisting program preferred - X-ray certification required; CPR certification preferred - Knowledge of medical coding, HIPAA regulations, and infection control protocols - Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy, and dental procedures - Proficiency in using dental software systems (e.g., Epic) for scheduling and record keeping - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and team members - Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment We offer competitive compensation based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
