Are you looking for a new career?

An Optometric Technician is responsible for preliminary and diagnostic testing of patients. Gathering medical history and prescriptions, before the doctors preforms exam. Technician will occasionally scribe for doctors. Will need to schedule patients for different exams and follow ups.

Qualifications: Basic office skills, customer service skills, and sales.

Patient care summary for this position:

This position is responsible for preparing the patient for the Doctor to examine and performing tests and routing the patient through the practice.

  • Maintain accurate patient records
  • Perform preliminary testing under Optometrist supervision
  • Educate and instruct patients with contact lenses
  • Maintain good patient flow
  • Answer patient questions efficiently
  • Clean and maintain instruments in the optometric area
  • Supply/stock examination rooms
  • Obtain medical histories from patients
  • Review and record medications
  • Experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate if needed.

Experience:

  • medical office procedures: 1 year (Preferred)
  • customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
  • medical records: 1 year (Preferred)

Work Remotely

  • No

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
