Full Time Orthodontic Assistant - $25 to $35/hr Medical, 401k and Paid Time Off

Our warm, welcoming and family friendly orthodontic practice, located in Encino, CA, is seeking a full time Orthodontic Assistant (Registered Dental Assistant or OA) to join our team Tuesdays to Fridays.

The ability to understand and communicate well with others is essential. Orthodontic Dental Experience is required.

Compensation: $25 to $30/hr (Based on experience)

Schedule: 32 hours/week.

• Tuesdays 8am to 5PM
• Wednesday 9AM to 6PM
• Thursdays 9Am to 6PM
• Fridays 8AM to 5PM

Duties for our Orthodontic Assistant Include:

• Ensuring that all orthodontic instruments and equipment are properly sterilized before each use.
• Taking intraoral X-rays of patients’ mouths.
• Taking photographs of patients’ teeth to aid the Orthodontist in developing treatment plans and to document patient progress.
• Taking dental impressions of patients’ teeth for the fabrication of customized mouth guards and retainers.
• Bonding braces
• Placing Invisalign attachments
• Removing and replacing wires, coil springs, o rings, and elastic bands.
• Educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices and braces aftercare.
