DPS Group TSO is Hiring a Project Scheduler Near Coppell, TX

DPS Group has an excellent opportunity a Project Scheduler to work at our client site in Coppell, Tx starting June 2022. Local candidates strongly preferred, non-local candidates will be considered (must be able to relocate or travel for the duration of project)

Key Responsibilities

  • Leads all scheduling and planning activities across client Global Engineering and Real Estate’s (GERE) projects at the Coppell site, currently comprising of:
  • Expected to work closely with key global and site stakeholders and third-party suppliers to plan and execute critical project activities, utilizing clients planning and scheduling operating model procedures and tools.
  • Responsible for monitoring and reporting on key schedule and progress metrics on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Supports the procurement process to ensure proposed vendor design, construction, delivery and installation schedules are aligned with the client master schedule prior to awarding purchase orders and contracts.
  • Responsible for defining and integrating the scope into an integrated project plan.
  • Models and develops "what-if" scenarios and critical paths on an as need basis.
  • Responsible for verifying schedule impacts from change orders, generated by the owner, A/E or CM teams or equipment providers.
  • Perform technical schedule analysis (review of float, logic, etc.) for the base control schedule as well as updates and revisions during the execution of the project.
  • Maintains active communications with the project cost controller to ensure alignment across cost and schedule matters.
  • Provides proactive communication to project management and project controls leadership to ensure awareness of trends on the projects

Key Deliverables

  • Lead and/or participate in planning and scheduling development sessions led by others; including interactive schedule alignment workshop(s). This should address items such as scope of work, WBS, software, activity coding, integration of schedules, determining durations, resource loading, calendar, phasing and contingency etc.
  • Develop and maintain an integrated master schedule including design, procurement, issue of information, off-site manufacture, construction, deliveries, acceptance tests, commissioning and qualification.
  • Monthly schedule report presented to the PM as a minimum to agree the position and identify any corrective actions needed.
  • Weekly schedule updates for Tier 3 meetings to determine project RAG status, schedule adherence and need for corrective action.
  • Monthly schedule-related components of the GERE monthly project progress report
  • Ad-hoc schedule reports as needed by client stakeholders.
  • Schedule resource curves analyzed and presented to PM to determine resourcing needs for various stages of the project.
  • Critical path and/ or longest path Gantt charts issued to PM and project team to analyze and plan activities and resourcing.
  • Review and comment on third-party progress reports submitted to client.
  • Master schedule change log, capturing revisions and/or modifications to the schedule; and schedule contingency / reserve usage log.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience of project scheduling in a construction environment with pharmaceutical experience preferred
  • Understanding of construction techniques and sequences
  • Experience of working within a team environment
  • Successful candidates will have at least 5 years experience in project scheduling.
  • Experience of scheduling of large value projects
