Summary
DPS is looking for a Project Manager for a client in Norton, MA. The client’s capital project portfolio includes a multiple large, mid and small projects, along with day to day operations, that the internal project team is looking for assistance managing. The contract role would be as part of the projects team, providing PM services across a diverse portfolio of work, at all facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Individual with ability to manage projects for the project team. This includes but not limited to
  • Setup and driving progress via project schedule(s), be it standalone connected to an overall, integrated schedule.
  • Ability to verify activity in field or factory, confirmation of work progress, % complete
  • Manage communication such as meeting agenda and minutes, action item tracker, PowerPoint presentations summarizing project details or decisions/issues of focus.
  • Point of contact for various internal expertise areas and workstreams, such as Engineering, IT, Automation, Research, etc.
  • Requirements for the role:
  • 10 years' experience as a Project Manager
  • Biotech experience, as direct employer or project team supporting customer, working on construction activities within Manufacturing or Lab areas
  • Direct experience managing daily construction activities with internal groups such as safety (pre-task plans, job hazard analysis), ongoing operations impact (construction area notice, primary point of contact), and coordination/planning activities including external such as landlord, where applicable.
  • Experience leading large, cross-functional teams
  • Ability to use scheduling software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6, as well as other tracking tools such as Smartsheet, SharePoint, etc.
  • Relevant project experience preferred, but not required, at a high level understanding as it pertains to managing activities to completion and interacting with Subject Matter Experts (SME) and construction teams:
  • Clean room design, architectural and engineering elements
  • Flammable liquid storage and use, intrinsically safe requirements and code/permit implications
  • IT – infrastructure (servers/switches), Wireless Access Points, printers, applications, including critical Operations Technology (i.e. Manufacturing isolated networking)
  • Automation- Building Management Systems (BMS) and Process Control Systems (PCS)
  • Instrumentation and Controls (I&C)- low voltage wiring, networking, intrinsically safe design, Variable-Frequency Drives (VFD).
  • Additional details
  • 10 months duration, March - December 2022
  • Potential for extension into 2023
  • Primary location to be Norton, MA with 2-3 days a week in Kendall Square facilities, as project schedules dictate
  • Role is largely on-site, but flexibility to work remote occasionally

Skills & Qualifications

  • B.A, B.S. in Engineering or related discipline with at least 5 years of relevant experience or M.S. in related field.
  • Understanding and application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field, GMP, ISO, GAMP, ANSI.
  • Knowledge of facility related engineering disciplines (MEP) in GMP manufacturing environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills applied on a global or multi-national basis.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the demonstrated ability to manage through influence.
