Overview

POSITION OBJECTIVES: Assist Depot and Water Treatment Plant operations with a variety of minor utility maintenance and repair duties associated with a water treatment, water distribution system and wastewater collection system.

MAIN ACTIVITIES: While employed by Doyon Utilities the Utility Fitter Trainee I will assist and participate in the following activities:

Qualifications

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL EFFORT: The work is done inside and outside. The employee may work in areas that are unclean, dusty and greasy. The work can be physically demanding. Work may require stooping, bending, climbing and standing. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds overhead, 75 pounds below waist, and 100 pounds in tandem with a co-worker.
