PURPOSE OF JOB:
To provide leadership in the development, planning and management of the organization-wide patient safety, quality, regulatory and patient satisfaction efforts. Assure appropriate systematic monitoring and evaluation of the delivery of patient care for all departments (medical staff and hospital) that meet the requirements of governing bodies, review agencies and the hospital's mission and values. To provide leadership in the preparation for licensing and accreditation surveys, and to monitor systems within the organization to assure compliance with regulations and standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Departmental Budget: As a member of Doylestown Health's leadership team who is responsible for budget, this position will adhere to the Health System's budget process to include planning, facilitating communication and coordination across the Doylestown Health System. As well as allocation of resources, controlling expenses and will be accountable for all budget variances. (15%)
Associate Retention: As a member of Doylestown Health's leadership team, this position will act with integrity and emotional intelligence. The way a leader treats their Associates can have a profound impact on Associate's loyalty and retention. Leaders can positively impact Associate retention by creating a positive, empowering environment. (15%)
Fulfill the duties of the organization's Patient Safety Officer. Ensure adherence to the regulations as described and outlined in The MCARE Act. Contribute to ongoing safety monitoring and improvement activities organization wide and foster a culture of patient safety. (20%)
Collaboratively provide leadership and facilitation for organizational quality committees. Provides oversight and support for identification and action planning in response to quality care concerns, driving system improvement development to elevate clinical excellence. (20%)
Oversee ongoing regulatory compliance with licensing, accreditation and certification programs as well as provide leadership during licensing, accreditation surveys, and evaluative visits. (15%)
Oversee patient satisfaction survey administration utilizing the Press Ganey platform and services. Acts as the primary contact with Press Ganey associates and facilitates provision of data throughout the organization as appropriate. Works collaboratively with others for patient satisfaction improvements. (10%)
Manage the Quality Initiatives Department. Assure staff competency, which supports the delivery of effective, efficient and high quality care. Establish processes to measure, assess and improve both individual and departmental performance. (5%)
Job Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Master Degree in Nursing, Health Administration or related field, required
Experience:
Minimum of five years of clinical health care experience
Minimum of five years of managerial experience in a hospital setting with strong organizational and leadership skills
Other Skills:
Knowledge and experience in quality improvement theory and systems functionality
Knowledge and experience with licensing regulations and accreditation standards
Knowledge of system design principles and patient safety theory
Professional certifications such as CPHQ, CPPS, Lean Six Sigma preferred
