Doyle Security Services is Hiring a NYC - Supervisor for Security Operation Center (SOC) Near New York, NY

Doyle Security Services, Inc. (DSS) is seeking an experienced Security Operation Center (SOC) Supervisor for Midtown Manhattan.

Pay Rate: $23.00 - $24.00 /hr

JOB SUMMARY:

The Supervisor of SOC Operators enforces policies and ensures SOC protocols are carried out by the SOC team. Works closely to develop best practices and ongoing improvements with shareholders. May perform other tasks as required by client.

Distinguishing Characteristics:

Supervises company personnel, including assigning work, coaching, and discipline, as defined by client contract.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

In the event of uncertainty or lack of knowledge of company policies and procedures, employees are required to request clarification or explanations from supervisors or authorized company representatives.

SUPERVISORY FUNCTIONS:

  • Functions as a Supervisor of SOC personnel and acts to ensure that all post orders are followed; that adequate reports are filed; notifies proper authorities and client in emergency situations.
  • Coaches and disciplines personnel as appropriate; seeks advice from company management or designated representatives as appropriate; meets personally with employees and documents coaching and disciplinary actions.
  • Trains SOC Operators and other company personnel; reviews post orders and other details of assignments with subordinates.
  • Assists in the accuracy of payroll and personnel information to the company as designated.
  • In conjunction with company management or designated representatives ensures the appropriate coverage of the SOC.
  • Prepares, files, and submits various reports as required.
  • Audits SOC operators work and meets with subordinates to outline tasks and responsibilities.
  • Meets with client representatives as scheduled or as needed to provide assurance that all SOC protocols requirements are met and to provide quality customer service.
  • As assigned, in accordance with applicable company policies and procedures and in compliance with state and federal laws, carried out supervisory duties that can include some or all the following: interviewing, training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; and making hiring and termination recommendations.
  • Meet client and DSS KPI's.
  • Prepare and deliver Quarterly Business reviews
  • May perform the duties of a SOC Operator in accordance with post orders and company policy

Education/Experience:

  • 3 years minimum of SOC Experience
  • College Degree, and 5 years of related training or experience, including lead or supervisory experience, sufficient to meet the requirements of position, or an equivalent combination of college education and experience, as determined by the company.
  • CCure 9000 software familiarity or equivalent system a plus.

Competencies (as demonstrated through experience, training, and/or testing):

  • Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements.
  • Knowledge of security operations and procedures.
  • Must be able to meet and continue to meet requirements for specific skills, certifications or authorizations specified for the assignment.
  • Ability to supervise staff, including assigning work and providing training and discipline.
  • Understanding of a variety of security and safety devices and controls
  • Ability to learn quickly and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
  • Ability to track and maintain schedule assignments.
  • Ability to be an effective team member.
  • Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances.
  • Courteous telephone manner.
  • Ability to adapt to various changes in SOC protocols.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, at various social levels and across diverse cultures.
