This position plays a key strategic role in developing an integrated marketing and communications plan to advance DKA’s mission and support downtown merchants.

Position Overview:

Marketing – develop and oversee the execution of strategic marketing plans to support the organization’s mission, vision, and goals, including but not limited to, brand positioning, social media strategy, and seasonal marketing campaigns.

Business Support – develop and manage promotional campaigns with downtown businesses including scavenger hunts, trails, and seasonal campaigns. Regular communication with downtown merchants and stakeholders.

Committee Management – manage two committees: Marketing & Events and Business Support

Website Management – manage organization's website (downtownknoxville.org) with regular updates and creation of seasonal campaigns

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, marketing, communications, or other related degree
• 3-5 years of full-time experience in marketing and communications
• Ability to work creatively and independently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
