Down The Street Bar is Hiring a Bartender Near Monticello, IN

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Interact with customers, take orders, and provide excellent customer service
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age
- Clean and sanitize bar area, including utensils and equipment
- Maintain inventory of bar supplies and restock as needed
- Create and recommend cocktail recipes based on customer preferences
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register
- Adhere to all safety and health regulations

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a bartender or in a similar role
- Knowledge of basic math for measuring ingredients and calculating bills
- Familiarity with different types of alcoholic beverages and their preparation methods
- Excellent hospitality skills with a friendly and outgoing personality
- Strong customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for guests
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of popular bartending software such as Square POS is a plus
- Understanding of retail math for handling cash transactions accurately
- Sales skills to upsell drinks and promote specials or events
- Ability to handle high-volume situations, such as banquets or special events
