CNC Machinist

CNC machinist is responsible for performing set ups and operation of CNC Swiss machinery. The machinist will work to blueprint and router instructions to fabricate hydraulic spool and sleeve components. Performance of in process inspection and check sheet documentation is required.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform set ups and operation of a CNC Swiss machine.
• Manufacture product to sketch or blueprint specifications.
• Perform measurements using various inspection equipment to verify sketch dimensions are met.
• Perform basic tool changes, and work setting and zeroing.
• Communicate production information with day/night shift machinists.
• Document work performed with shop floor ERP entry.
• Some basic adjustment of speeds and feeds.
• Clean and lubricate machines, tools, and equipment to remove grease, rust, stains, and foreign matter.
• Maintain and organize tooling used.

- CNC Swiss Machine

Inspection tools used:

• Micrometers
• Bore gages
• Height gages
• Optical profile comparator
• Id micrometers

Required Skills and Attributes:

• Preferred 5 years of experience
• Bilingual is a plus
• Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Required to walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Must be able to lift 30 pounds
