Founded in 2017 by Benjamin Humphrey and Bradley Ayers, Dovetail has 100 employees across offices in Sydney and San Francisco.

We're searching for a passionate and driven Brand Designer to join our growing team. You'll play an instrumental role in shaping how we're perceived, crafting unique and impactful creative that sets the standard across channels for our world-class brand. Expect to work on everything from brand campaigns, product launches and blogs to presentations, social media and design systems. We set a high quality bar so we’re looking for someone with initiative, great attention to detail and out-of-the-box problem solving skills. You'll have the freedom to bring fresh ideas and be a part of a close-knit team that’s constantly improving and evolving our brand to deliver the best experience for our customers.

What you'll do

  • Brand marketing creative. Collaborate with the brand and wider marketing team to create and execute global campaigns and initiatives.
  • Brand design systems. Work closely with the creative director, designers, and marketers to develop and evolve Dovetail's brand identity, guidelines, and design systems.
  • Cross-functional design support. Partner with teams across the business from product to sales to deliver targeted content, assets, and kits.
  • Brand assets. Produce and maintain branded assets such as marketing materials, social media creative, blog visuals, presentations, swag and more.
  • Taste-making. Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends and best practices, experiment with new methods and solutions, and bring fresh ideas to the table.
  • Brand and product alignment. Coordinate with the product design team to ensure a consistent brand experience across internal and external channels.

Your background

  • Strong design experience. A considered portfolio of brand design work that demonstrates a solid understanding of design principles, confidence in applying brand guidelines and ability to translate brand strategy into compelling visual concepts.
  • Attention to detail. You have a high-quality bar, a keen eye for aesthetics, and a constant desire to improve our customers' brand experience.
  • Software proficient. Experience with modern design software such as Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma.
  • Excellent communication. Ability to convey opinions, thoughts, and feelings with other teammates, founders, and customers. Honest, thoughtful, and transparent communication is critical.
  • Highly collaborative. Comfortable working cross-functionally with adjacent roles to plan and deliver projects with velocity and intentionality.
  • Live and breathe creative. Proven passion for developing strong, recognizable brands and cohesive brand identity systems.
  • A great attitude. The right attitude towards a sense of urgency, risk, and uncertainty about the future that comes with working at an early-stage startup. This is an opportunity to be involved in an exciting journey from the very start.
  • Self-starter. You demonstrate a strong sense of ownership over projects, take initiative to seek solutions independently and know when to bring in members of the team to collaborate.
  • Illustration. Skills and/or an interest in developing illustration desired, but not necessary.
