This entry-level maintenance technician position might be just the career change you have been looking for if you take pride in keeping things in tip-top shape, being detailed and organized, keeping busy, and providing great customer service to all those around you.

As the maintenance technician, you will assist in the overall maintenance of Dove Healthcare - Regional Vent Center and Dove Healthcare - Rutledge Home. Day-to-day tasks include, but are not limited to, repairs inside and outside, painting, minor plumbing and electrical, and grounds care as needed.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • perform highly diversified duties relating to all aspects of maintenance
  • schedule and complete preventive maintenance
  • monitor and maintain all building systems as assigned
  • inspect units and overall property condition
  • basic plumbing-fixture replacement, drain snaking, leak repairs, etc.
  • basic electric-fixture and device replacements, troubleshooting as needed
  • painting
  • maintain landscaping and grounds
  • travel to additional properties
  • snow removal and lawn care
  • coordinate and oversee contractors
  • ensure repairs are within established expense limits
  • participate in on-call rotation, including after-hours emergency calls
  • record detailed maintenance logs
  • submit receipts, timesheets, and mileage in timely manner
  • maintain professional courteous manner with all residents, contractor, and fellow employees
  • comply with safety regulations
  • maintain a clean and orderly work area

Requirements:

  • 18 years of age
  • possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • ability to plan and carry out programs in repair or new construction
  • knowledge of record keeping and cost estimating
  • excellent organization and time management skills
  • ability to handle confidential information
